I combine my love for helping people with my skills as a corporate recruiter, writer and public speaker to help people create spectacular careers.
Years ago I was at the metro in DC and noticed an attractive woman. I thought I’d ask her for the time. . . (yes, very lame). We started talking and she said she wanted to be a journalist but was studying acting instead. It sounded all wrong. But by the end of our conversation she said she was going to change her major and follow her dream. I felt energized because I’d made a difference for her. Later that week I had similar conversations with three other people and realized that helping people find jobs they love was my purpose in life.
Since 1996 I have been a corporate recruiter and am now the Director of Recruiting for a Washington DC-based company. I have interviewed thousands of people and know what it takes for you to distinguish yourself in an interview.
I lecture to thousands of professionals and college students at Carnegie Mellon, Penn State, Virginia Tech, University of Maryland and other locations on job interview preparation to attain a satisfying career.
I designed a Facebook application called Inside Job that let’s you do your professional networking on Facebook. Click here to check out my videos on how this great new professional networking app for Facebook works.
